about

Transient Symphony is a piece commissioned for the 2003 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial in Japan. It is a CD designed to be heard inside a car while driving in the echigo-tsumari region.

It is an orchestration which brings together natural sounds recorded in the area, performances by local musicians- both traditional and in collaboration with the composer- and additional studio recordings.
